Carousel

One of the main features of the Geelong Waterfront is the historic Carousel. It is housed in a striking glass pavillion that provides 360 degree views of Corio Bay, the Waterfront and CBD. The 1892 steam driven carousel has been beautifully restored, with its 36 colourful steeds and 2 chariots now proudly carrying kids of all ages.

The Carousel is a station for the Eastern Beach Train that travels the Waterfront circuit to Eastern Beach and back.

Where

Steampacket Gardens, Eastern Beach Road. Parking is availabe on Cunningham Pier and all along the Waterfront (fees may apply in some areas).

Cost

Entry to the Pavillion is free. Tickets to ride the Carousel are: $3.50 children, $4.00 adults, $3.50 concession and $29.00 multiride tickets.

October to March Monday to Friday 10:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday 10:30am to 6:00pm, Sunday 10:30am to 6:00pm

April to September Monday to Friday 11:00am to 4:30pm, Saturday 10:30am to 6:00pm, Sunday 10:30am to 6:00pm
